So my candle is flickering in my room while I'm cleaning it. Whenever I have an unproductive day (in the job/boy/life sense) I like to clean my room. So I allow my room to become messy until the day that I need to clean and organize and then it's like therapy to me. Tonight I had my Spanish class. What a great class! I'm enjoying learning Spanish.
I've had some pretty epic adventures these last few days. On Friday,I had an interview at a pre-school.It went really well. Too bad the other teachers are all Stepford wive-ish. It was odd. They were all gorgeous, tan, blond and married. I wonder where I would fit in. Afterwards, my sissy and I ventured into the little community of Mt. Dora. If you live in Fl, you'll know that it's kind of an old-timers paradiso. They sell things from their times and even much before. They offer all the things that older people would like. Well fortunate for them, I like those things too. So we were on our way to a sophisticated tea in the afternoon brunch. It was completely lovely. I had Jasmine Green tea and she had something. She liked it, that's all I remember. That's terrible I know. I purchased some lovely things for a wonderful celebration that is coming in October and of course some things for myself. I bought some cute chandelier earrings to go with my short hair, sand dollar gold necklace and a record of La Traviata!
Then we went and had 2-4-1 margaritas. Nisey can't drink so I helped her with her drinks! To me, there is nothing better then drinking in the afternoon. It's just so decadent and mischievous and I love it. While there, my lovely Jilly called and said she was going to come to my house that night rather then Sat. I was so exciteed. She was starting to become that distant relative. I love her too much for that to happen! So yeah, on the way home, we passed Magnolia Park and there is going to be Bluegrass Festival this upcoming Sat, how cool, right? Before we do that though, the familia and I are going to partake in some buckwheat pancakes! I'm pretty stoked.
Friday, the Jilly and I went out to get a little lit. It was a pretty ridiculous bar/ club. We sat at our table and I had beer with a straw of course (Ok- I hate beer but it was the cheapest thing on the menu and the only way I get through it, is to drink it and enjoy it with a straw), she had red wine. We ended up meeting up with this boy that I was getting to know and seemed really cool initially.. Oh hoh, was that a premature conclusion. He was a super nice guy but a tad on the young side. My fault- don't play with young'uns! Long story short, he pissed in a parking lot, got wasted and basically Jilly and I were mortified by the time he and his friend started banging on the table. You may ask, "Victoria, why would these boys do that?" Ummm- it was because they felt like it. No rhyme or reason. By that point, we were kinda done. We scurried to our car as politely/fast as we could.
Sat, I worked 11-5. The day went by so slowly. It was good though. Once I got out, Jilly and I were going to go on an adventure. We went and got some sushi at this great place. Seito Sushi is deliciously cheap! Try it! Afterwards had one of our typical heart to hearts over gelato and a lake backdrop. Went home and did one of the most intimate things. Had a paint party. I don't just paint with everyone. It's interesting to see what a person will paint. It says a lot about that person. She, my sissy and my painting were quite unique and lovely in their own ways. It was awesome.
Sunday, the Jilly and I woke up early to hit the Springs. We decided to swim in Rock Springs. I was a little terrified and not entirely on board with this part. I was afraid it would be freezing but let me tell you, what a pleasant surprise. The water was lovely and refreshing and had the sun been out the whole time and there was no wind, it would have been perfect. I absolutely fell in love there. Only problem too many loud children. I wanted some alone time with nature but I didn't get it. That's okay though, what an awesome place to bring children. On the way home we had to drop our tubes back off at the bar we got them at. We decided to have a nice chilled beer. It was so nice to sit in this biker bar. What a group of interesting people! We talked to this awesome guy who was a 53 year old air conditioner guy. I loved the people there. I got SO much shit for drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon. This old cowboy would not stop heckling me until his adorable tattooed young cohort told him to shut up and then they left. HA! It was great.
So, as you can see it's been a great last couple of days. I can't wait to get to bed after I clean my room and shower. I'm tired and it will be nice to snuggle (alone-AH) in bed.
Until tomorrow..
