So, it's been a week. I've been bad about keeping this up. It's a rainy gloomy sort of day but I love this kind of weather occasionally. It's lovely in its own kind of bleak way. It's been a good week. I've started up the garden big time. It's been nice not working for this week. And I'm sure it will be just as nice next week. Then starting next Friday, I start work again. So in the midst of watching Sex and the City, googling first date ideas etc etc etc, I decided to do something productive and update the blog. I like dating/seeing people again. It makes me feel more girly. Start reading Cosmo and other ridiculous dating advice that is impractical. I'm more of a go with how I feel kind of girl.
But really, this week has been good. Caught up with my Ashley on Wednesday at Seito (yes, again- it's that good)It was nice to see her again. Little did I know that in less then 24 hours would I have the weirdest day that I've had in a while. I woke up on Thursday as if it was any other day. Long story short, a long lost friend found me, got 2 calls back from jobs(want the one in the Everglades), met up with said long last friend (had a marvelous time), got my job back, had things out with the ex again(not so marvelous). Went to the beach (Cocoa), which was completely relaxing and as good as I wanted it to be. Also went to this crazy cool thrift store. It's called Thrift for Life and all the proceeds go to cancer victims who need financial help. I think that's amazing especially since my sister is a cancer survivor. Here's their site- If you're at Cocoa, definitely hit them up. Great stuff!!!
Yesterday, went to the DeLeon Springs. It's where the Fountain of Youth is. I am now apparently 13 years old again. Had some great buckwheat pancakes in an old sugar mill near the springs. They were all you could AND they had veggie sausage! Definitely go there if you go to De Leon Springs. We took a boat out and it was great fishing and we saw lots of gators. And then afterwards met up with the old friend again. We had a really good time. It's funny how people don't really change. We went to elementary and middle school together. He's still this great kid that I remember from back then, we then, met up with another friend from elementary and middle school. It was also to see him again. Oh and Old Friend has a hot 72' Mustang...!
Funny story though about this bar we were at. Went to the bathroom and there are 3 women in the bathroom, the Maitre D' was fixing this 40- something year old's hair and there was this giant woman who was just sitting there in a Packers jersey who kept insisting on getting the maitre d' and 40-something drinks and since I was in there me as well. As I was trying to leave, Packers Giant pushed back in the bathroom and said I needed some drinks, afraid for my life, I stayed. Packers Giant came back with a tray of drinks for us. But 40-something and I left quickly but only after Packers Giant made us take shots with her. Free drinks that were truly free, who could pass that up?!? :]
So overall, it's been a good week and now this week coming up I'm going to Alabama to meet up with that side of the family for the Confirmation of a cousin. It's going to be a great time, I love Alabama( damn whatever anyone else says).
So keep those dreams and I'll keep mine. <3
