Things are really starting to shape up. I love that my life is constantly full of highs and lows rather then in betweens. How boring and average would it be to in between. Right now, as you'll probably be able to tell before long is a high time for me. I go to Alabama with my Pop tomorrow for a small adventure. We've already made a bunch of CDs to take with us and it's always fun when things are 1 on 1. We're going to see a family member be confirmed. He is excited about it so I'm excited that he's excited!
But, no, for real... Today was just one of those days. It's been a hella long time since I've had one of these days. Last night, I got to see Old Friend again. We started out with drinks at a local bar/family eatery and ran into another old friend from our middle school days. Got free drinks from him (he was a bartender) and then O.F and I were in the mood for trouble. So, we went to my home (in his hot 72' Mustang) I grabbed a bottle of Captain, a bathing suit and some Coca Colas and we headed off to a resort's swimming pool. My pool which is unheated was too intense apparently for O.F. So we headed on down, got to the resort and hopped into the hot tub. Sat there for a while and when we got too hot, jumped into the pool and vice versa. It was great fun. And we weren't too obnoxious (which, of course, is always nice.) It rained on us which is so much fun to swim while it's raining. I also got to rock my awesome new polka dot bikini! We basically hung out there until about 3:30 am. We almost got busted by security guards and maids. But surprisingly, all the security guard wanted to know was how our night was going! AH.
Long story short and add some other lovely details to this story O.F spent the night in our guest room because it was too late and we had been drinking a little for him to drive home.
The next morning, you won't really be able to appreciate this the way you should because you weren't here but here it goes. It's always weird having a person stay over you don't know very well. Especially since I woke up at 8:05 when we went to bed at 4am. I thought it would be too cruel to wake him up at 8:15 so I decided to take a shower and clean my room and watch I Love You Man. He still wasn't up. I texted ChaCha and my Jilly and called my Mom to contemplated my next move. Should I wake him up? Should I let him sleep? Should I bring in coffee? Tea? What if he hates hot drinks? Should I bring water in? I walked in to wake him up more then once and every time he started to move, I scurried out because I didn't want him to think I was a creeper. Watched I Love You Man again. Kept texting Jilly and calling my Mom.
I woke him, I nudged him with a glass of water. He called his folks and I left him to do what he needed. When people wake up, they need their alone time. And then he didn't come out. I wondered what the H was going on. So, I walked by his door again to start laundry. He is snoring. He fell asleep again. So, finally by the time noon rolls around, he rolls out of bed! We sat around and decided what our next move was going to be. We decided on Disney.
We went to Epcot and explored all these different countries AND I had sake for the first time ever. It was pretty damn tasty and it was fun, we had a little sampler that had 3 different types.
Today was just so good. As we walking out, leaving the park. The clouds were, just so. It had just rained, I had spent time with a person that makes me smile and in those clouds, there was just so much hope and promise for my future.
Job update- have my interview in the Everglades on the 27th. Wish me luck
Lots of love for ya'll!
Oh and p/s
Did you know that the toothbrush is from Alabama? It is because if it had been from any other state- they would have called it a teethbrush! Enjoy that gem.
